Having an open mind means being willing to read opinions you don’t agree with. If all you do is read and watch what you believe to be right or true then you’ll never grow. In order to fully understand anything one must be willing to completely see what the other side says. If you’re not willing to do that then you’re fostering a closed mind whether you know it or not. Open mindedness is a lifestyle. It’s a choice. It’s a decision that says “I don’t know it all and am willing to listen to what all sides have to say”. In this way an open mind is indispensable to growth, understanding and effectiveness.

I don’t think it should be done. When someone burns our flag they are shitting on America. The flag is used to drape the coffins of our soldiers who died fighting for our country. When someone burns the flag it’s kin to burning the soldier who died underneath it.
If one is going to burn the flag then why not also kill an American Eagle? Both are symbols of this country. Would anyone shoot an American eagle over their outrage about something in this country not happening the way it should? Maybe the sickest of our citizens would and those folks should be locked up.
To me, burning the flag is a childish and disgraceful act. Certainly there is a more dignified way to express your first amendment right. I suggest lighting yourself on fire.
Bill Cosby is a scumbag of the highest degree. I rejoice that this rapist was convicted today and I hope some large black male fucks him up the ass everyday when he lands in the pen. Here is a man who swayed America into making him an icon. A father figure and role model to hundreds of thousands of people both young and old, and the whole time he was drugging and raping women using his celebrity status to lure them into his evil lair. Unbelievable? Hardly.
Update! Temple, Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, all announced Thursday they would revoke honorary degrees given to Cosby years ago after the verdict was announced.
We are a myth making people. So many real figures have been exaggerated and we love them all the more for it. This is a huge part of being human for without mythology who is really great?
